The Hunter Cancer Research Alliance (HCRA) has over 450 members, ranging from PhD students to clinicians, research fellows and eminent research leaders. This Symposium aims to foster collaborations among cancer researchers, clinicians and health professionals operating across basic science, clinical research, clinical practice, health services research and implementation science.

The 2019 Hunter Cancer Research Symposium will be held at Newcastle City Hall, which is located off King Street in the heart of Newcastle civic precinct. It is adjacent to Civic Park with street parking and a number of parking stations nearby.

 

ACCOMmODATION

If you are joining us from out of area and need accommodation, there are lots of options available in Newcastle within walking distance to the Newcastle City Hall. The Visit Newcastle website offers an accommodation booking service and a plethora of information about what you can see and do while visiting our gorgeous City. Why not make a weekend of it and explore our beaches or take a short drive to the wineries in the Hunter Valley.

Getting TO THE VENUE

SHUTTLE BUS

HCRA will provide shuttle bus transport to the Symposium from both the Hunter Medical Research Institute carpark and the University of Newcastle.

If you would like to catch the shuttle bus, please indicate where you would like to be picked up from when you register to attend.

Newcastle City Hall is located within a 5 minute walk of Hunter Carparks.

Newcastle Light Rail runs from Newcastle Interchange in Wickham to Newcastle Beach in the east end of Newcastle. The closest stop to Newcastle City Hall is Civic.
